About
The best communicators think like reporters. That's the lens I bring.
I'm an award-winning journalist-turned-communications strategist with nearly 13 years of experience across The Economic Times, Flipkart, Simpl, AXA Global Business Services, Adfactors PR, and Deccan Chronicle. I believe the best communications professionals think like reporters — and that's the lens I bring to every brand narrative I build.
As a business journalist, I broke the national story of Apple opening its first technology development centre in India — three months before Tim Cook inaugurated it in Hyderabad. I also reported on the State Street India entry and the launch of what was then India's largest office development, a $1 billion project, among several other page-1 stories for The Economic Times.
As a communications professional, I've operated at the intersection of brand strategy, media relations, and employer branding across India's most recognisable companies. At Flipkart, I led external communications for nearly 40% of business categories including technology and supply chain, created the "Delivery Through Difficult Terrains" annual media property, and became the first-ever communications professional to win the company's all-India technology innovation challenge, Project 1K — recognised with the Rainmaker Award for my contribution to brand equity.
At Simpl — a Series B startup valued at ~$700 million — I repositioned the brand from Buy Now Pay Later to Checkout Network, navigated the media landscape through two rounds of layoffs, returning the company to positive coverage within a month, and was recognised as a Leader 2.0 by Adgully for this work. At AXA Global Business Services, I grew their LinkedIn presence from 17,500 to 25,000 followers in 123 days (43% growth) and led the company's first-ever global HR certification — the Top Employers Institute recognition — in their 30-year India journey.
I specialise in narrative repositioning, crisis communications, and building communications functions from the ground up. I'm actively open to senior communications leadership roles — Head of Communications, Director of Corporate Communications, or Employer Branding Lead — at funded startups, GCCs, or large enterprises operating in India.
